Returning to Nottingham Comedy Festival for the third year, LOL-gbtq+ at The Lord Roberts is a series of LGBTQ+ comedy, cabaret and variety nights, showcasing the depth and diversity of Queer comedy talent across the region. Following sell-out runs in 2024, Juliette Burton (BBC1/ITV) and Cerys Bradley (Comedy Central, UKTV, BBC One Wales) premier new work, Nottingham’s Drag scene is represented by local Drag Royalty Nana Arthole, and making her Nottingham Comedy Festival debut, AFAB Queen ‘Boo’. Rounding off the festival, the Nottingham Queer Arts Collective present their annual cabaret fundraiser raising money for The Spencer Trust.
Promoter Dan Webber says “Nottingham has a fantastic Queer arts scene and it’s always a joy to present this as part of Nottingham Comedy Festival. LOL-gbtq+ at The Lord Roberts provides a brave space where audiences and performers can be themselves and present their work in a safe and nurturing environment, there’s no punching down just laugh out loud queer comedy where everyone is welcome”.
